January 2010  RE: Steinway Restoration

Dear Rob,

Just a brief letter to let you know how much Judy and I have enjoyed working with you on the Steinway grand piano. First of all, but for the time you spent with me on the phone the night before the auction, we would not have felt comfortable bidding. So, that got us the piano — apparantly an incredible deal.

The refinishing job you did is absolutely gorgeous! We couldn’t be happier with the color, the finish and the sheen. Everyone who has seen the piano has remarked about how beautiful it is. Except to someone familiar with Steinway serial numbers or how the Steinway logo has changed over time, we could easily pass it off as brand new –our guest have assume it is.

As you know, we had you add the Pianomation system primarily to capture our son’s compositions and playing, but I must admit that playing from CDs has proven to be highly entertaining to our guests.
