July 15th, Piano Mill was a major sponsor for the enthusiastically received “Blue 4 Kids” music concert at the South Shore YMCA in Hanover. As part of their summer camp activities, 300+ young camp-goers had an opportunity to learn about ‘blues’ music during a 1-hour concert given by a band that included popular Love Dogs vocalist Ed Sheer, that encouraged participation and dancing from everyone in the crowd. “The reaction from the campers was much more energetic than even I expected.” says YMCA Activities Director, Kim Engle, “They were all singing along, dancing and cheering… we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout”. This event was also one of the first for their Performing Arts Pavilion still in Phase One of construction. Piano Mill also has donated a Baldwin digital grand piano to be used during this initial phase or until a climate controlled environment there will allow for an acoustic grand.
