Piano Mill is in the news – again!

Last month Piano Mill made the national news because our roof collapsed in the midst of Boston’s record snowfall. Reporters from the NBC Nightly News, CNN, Weather Channel and lots more flocked to the scene. Why? Piano Mill houses the country’s most famous piano – the nine-foot, gem-encrusted concert grand that once belonged to Liberace. It’s an icon of American pop culture.   Many assumed the piano had been destroyed. Only later, when the fire department allowed us back in the ruined building, did we discover the piano had miraculously survived.

So did we! We’re back in business just down the street from the old location – and we’re back in the news. I’ve also been interviewed on Boston radio and our reopening was featured in a local Fox TV news segment. The support we’ve received from the media – and friends in the local music community – has been incredible. As I’ve written before, we can’t begin to express our thanks.

And here’s some more news for people looking to buy a great piano at a great price. On April 30, we’re going to mark our re-opening with a major sales event. We’ll offer bargains on new, used and restored pianos of all sizes and makes – and deliver and tune them in homes for free. Mark your calendar – and watch this space for more information.
